PHASE ONE

The Green space

This phase involves the complete reconstruction of a former city street bed to create an accessible public green space. The park will be accessed from the corner of York St. and Aramingo Ave. and the south end of E Hagert St.

Key Improvements

Open green space & trees for relaxation and shade

Sitting areas throughout the park

Accessible walking/biking trail

Small stage for performances and gatherings

Improved lighting for safety and visibility

Cost estimate and timeline

$145,000 raised of $295,000 estimated cost

Tentative goal to finish fundraising in 2026 and break ground in 2027

PHASE TWO

The Dog Park

Donated, privately owned parcel next to Planet Fitness. Dog park will be accessed from York St.

Key Improvements

Fenced dog run for both small and large dogs

Double locking gates for safe entry

Shade structures and sitting areas throughout the park

Next steps

Friends of Moyer Street Park will focus on grant applications for the construction of the dog park following the conclusion of fundraising for Phase 1.
